1. Overview

STRIDE (STR) is a new tipping and utility token created on the Hive blockchain, aimed at promoting steps or strides from walking, hiking and running within the Hive community, with the introduction of The Strider tipping bot (@thestrider) that responds to the !STRIDE command.

2. Features and Functionality

2.1 Tipping Bot

The core feature of STRIDE is its tipping bot, which allows users to send tips using the !STRIDE command. When this command is invoked, the recipient will receive 0.1 STR token.

2.2 Staking

In the future, we will introduce staking for STRIDE tokens, allowing users to lock up their STR in exchange for rewards. These rewards may come in the form of additional STR tokens, Hive dividends, or other benefits as the ecosystem grows. Staking will serve as a cornerstone for long-term investment in the STRIDE ecosystem.

3. Tokenomics

3.1 Initial Distribution

• Total Supply: 10,000,000,000 STR tokens.
• Pre-mined: 10,035,000 tokens will be pre-mined and distributed as follows:
  • Tipping Pool: 7,000,000 STR reserved for the tipping bot.
  • Staking Rewards: 2,000,000 STR set aside for future staking rewards.
  • Development and Operations: 1,035,000 STR reserved for development, marketing, and operational costs.
• Market: Stride will be made available on the markets each Monday, by the amount of kilometers I’ve walked/ran in the past week, multiplied by 100. As reference, I will use my Strava overview. The starting price of 1STR will be set to 0.01Hive. For each week that more than 50kms were walked, the price will go up with 0.002Hive. Which, in an ideal world, would mean that the price of 1STR will go up with 0.01Hive every year (approximately).

3.2 Tipping Mechanics

The tipping bot is designed to be accessible to users with minimum amount of 10 tokens owned, required to participate. Each invocation of the !STRIDE command will distribute 0.1STR to the recipient, directly from the tipping pool.
